Read This Important Notice
*Bankruptcy Clients can make a payment but only with a debit card and not a credit card! Payments made with a Credit Card will be rejected and your bank will charge you $25.00 for the transaction. Only use a debit card. Do not use a credit card.
*3rd Party Payors: You can use a credit card or a debt card.
The reason a bankruptcy client cannot pay with a credit card is because it would be a violation of the Bankruptcy Code. When you use a credit card, you have to use it with the intent to repay the debt. If you pay a Bankruptcy Attorney to file a bankruptcy and you pay with a credit card, the creditor can and will object to you obtaining a discharge of your debts due to fraud. But when, as a bankruptcy client, you use a debit card, you are really paying from your bank account and you aren’t borrowing money to pay a bankruptcy.
If you want to help someone pay for their bankruptcy, and you aren’t filing for bankruptcy, you can use either a debit or credit card. Bankruptcy clients can only use a debit card to make payments, all others can make payments with a debit card or credit card.
